Collegium Civitas is a modern, non-state higher education institution established in 1997 in Warsaw combining teaching and academic research, both basic and applied. Collegium Civitas aims to create a multi-generational and international academic environment fostering thinking and action through top quality education of future public life leaders in Poland and abroad: leaders of social, political, and economic areas, an enterprising and creative generation that is open towards multicultural heritage and current challenges and that perceives the world through the lens of prosocial categories, pursuing the common good.
Our researchers carry out a range of different research projects, cooperate in international and interdisciplinary consortia within a range of projects granted from European Commission, international organizations, and Polish national granting institutions. They have authored works in many fields of sociology and political sciences, including area studies, migration studies, memory studies, anthropology, international relations, tackling the current issues and analyzing modern crises (i. e. democracy, anomy, immigration, radicalization, hate speech, social responsibility, and sustainable growth). Collegium Civitas has been accepted as a member of the International Association of Universities (IAU), the leading global association of higher education institutions and organizations from around the world founded in 1950, under the auspices of UNESCO.
